What was your first job?
An apprentice mechanic.
If you weren’t in your current position, what would you be doing?
I’d be a mechanical engineer for one of the MotoGP racing teams.
What was your worst mistake?
I’ve always been fairly cautious so thankfully my mistakes have been few and far between.
What is your ideal day away from the office?
Quality time at home with my 11 month old son.
Name one person you would most like to have dinner with and why?
Jamie Oliver, and ideally he’d cook it too. Jimmy Doherty would be welcome to come along as well if he was free!
What was your best subject at school?
PE, although it definitely wouldn’t be now!
What are your hobbies?
I’m a keen motorcyclist, and I love my cars. I also have a veggie patch which gets better every year.
What would you do if you won the Lottery?
I’d live life a little don’t get me wrong, but longer term I’d get back to it. I can’t bear sitting around on my bum.
What’s your favourite item of clothing?
My chinos.
What is your top time saving tip?
Prepare! That upfront investment of time helps ensure everything runs smoothly thereafter.
What is your favourite time of the day?
I love a productive morning, but bath time with my little boy is my favourite.
What is the best thing about Yorkshire?
The local produce is second to none – great if you’re a foodie!
