In November’s ‘baler of the month’ feature, we ask Riverside Waste Machinery’s MD Jonathan Oldfield to describe the key features and benefits of the RWM550 heavy duty waste baler.
Describe this machine in one sentence:
This mill size waste baler is our most robust machine suitable for an array of difficult materials and applications that benefit from full stroke compaction.
What type of organisations use it?
This baler is an obvious choice for companies with particularly bulky or high volumes of tougher recyclables and is commonly used by manufacturers, recyclers and small to medium size skip hire companies.
What materials can this waste baler handle?
With a robust press force of 50 tonnes, the RWM 550 HD is great for handling everything from ordinary packaging waste, such as cardboard, through to more complex applications including clothes, stripped down computer/monitor cases, car bumpers, carpet, HDPE drums (25-30L) and even leather, like the baler we supplied recently to E A Tailby.
What bale weights can it achieve?
Giant bales of up to 610kg.
And the bale dimensions?
1200 x 1500 x 769mm
What consumables are required to produce bales with this machine?
Baling wire or tape would be suitable for this machine – both are in stock, available in various quantities, and are competitively priced.
Is a warranty included?
Yes, a 12 month full parts and labour warranty is included as standard, and optional service and maintenance packages are also available.
Describe this machine in 3 words:
Strong and reliable!
