Well, as another year comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on some of Riverside’s key milestones from the last 12 months…
Once again, there has been a great deal of change in the recycling industry – particularly as awareness of the nation’s existing environmental issues has become even more heightened. As a result, we have seen a significant increase in the number of organisations on the lookout for reliable and trustworthy machinery suppliers that offer high-quality products – and many have turned to Riverside for assistance!
As a result of the rising demand for our services – and the inevitable business growth that has come alongside – we have seen the addition of a new engineer to our team, Keith Scotthorne! With more than three decades’ experience in similar roles, Keith has already settled in well to Riverside life and is enjoying his new position. And with another team member comes an increased need for company transport – to ensure continued customer satisfaction – meaning the Riverside fleet of vans has also grown, too.
In addition, Riverside has introduced three new compactors to its range, following customer demand. The new models are now available for hire or purchase, and each offer a low maintenance, easy-to-use method of handling large volumes of general waste or recyclables. Clever yet each with a neat footprint – they’re a great enhancement to our portfolio.
Another string to our bow was maintaining our prestigious SafeContractor status for the fifth year running this summer. It’s important to us that we uphold a commitment to health and safety excellence – and this proves that our high standards remain consistent.
And we couldn’t reflect on 2019 without noting another whopper year for our online consumables shop – in fact, the biggest yet!
The business is set for further expansion in 2020, but we’ll make sure we keep providing free advice – via blog posts and downloadable guides – to firms looking to boost their recycling agenda.
Let’s hope the forthcoming 12 months brings as much excitement for the team – Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!
