Operator Training
Overview
Maintaining skill sets and safety levels in the waste and recycling industry.
Riverside’s team of experienced engineers don’t just service and maintain waste machinery. They also deliver certified operator training when our machines are first installed.
But what if operators move on to a new role and leave a skills gap within the workforce? We can train your new recruits! And what if experienced operators have picked up bad habits or forgotten things along the way? We can provide refresher sessions to ensure nobody cuts corners!
Our courses are quick and cost-effective, yet incredibly thorough. They’ll also be carried out on your site, using your own machine, at a time to suit you. It couldn’t be easier.
Operator training: what's involved
What do we cover?
Whether we’re delivering introductory or refresher baler and compactor training, our comprehensive sessions cover safe operation, sequence error troubleshooting, basic maintenance regimes and waste machinery dos and dont’s. The goal is always to equip operators with the knowledge they need to run any of Riverside’s waste machinery, so we’ll tailor the training to ensure all staff have the skills they need.
What do you get?
All training course attendees are issued with a two-year certificate to evidence their competence and support their continued professional development. The certification will also support employers with their legal duty of care (under the Health and Safety at Work Act) to ensure staff have received adequate training to operate the machinery they use in their roles.
How much does it cost?
We care about your profitability – which is why our training courses are designed to be both effective and affordable.
If we’re already on-site servicing your waste machinery, you can add operator training for just £72 + VAT – covering up to 10 team members.
Not due a service? No problem – we can still come to you and deliver the same training for £225 + VAT, based on a team of up to 10 operators.
"The level of service provided by Riverside is absolutely second to none. Not only do they offer their helpful guidance prior to the purchase, they also provide full on-site operator training for all relevant members of staff following installation, which is invaluable."
