Portable compactors
Our range
Flexible solutions to compress wet or messy waste
Wet waste can wreak havoc on site. Whether you’re compressing food scraps, damp commercial refuse, or contaminated packaging, leaks and spillages can lead to foul odours, attract pests, create slip hazards, and compromise strict hygiene standards. With a fully sealed, self-contained construction, our portable compactors lock liquids inside, minimise mess, and reduce waste volumes in one efficient process. Plus, because the compactor and container are integrated into a single unit, waste remains securely contained from loading to collection. Our range includes three trusted models – the RWM SP14, RWM RP30, and RWM RPW30. Delivering compaction forces from 20 to 33 tonnes, each machine is engineered to maximise payloads, reduce collection frequency, and lower waste management costs. Meanwhile, configurable loading methods, capacities, and control options ensure the right fit for your application. And their versatility doesn't end there. Beyond wet materials, they're equally effective at processing dry recyclables. So, whether you need a dependable solution for kitchen waste or a portable cardboard compactor to keep packaging under control, there's always a setup to match.
Overview
What is a portable waste compactor?
A portable compactor is a self-contained machine that uses a hydraulic ram to compress waste directly into its integrated container. The enclosed design features a fully sealed chamber and drainage system that keeps liquids, leaks, and spillages contained during compaction and storage. As such, these units are particularly well suited to wet and messy waste streams, helping prevent foul odours, deter pests, and maintain better site hygiene. That said, they’re also perfectly capable of tackling dry recyclables.
While often large, portable compactors are highly flexible. Their high-capacity compaction chamber and integrated container form a single unit, allowing significant waste volumes to be processed without transferring material between separated systems or relying on permanent foundations. What’s more, because they’re mounted on a manoeuvrable chassis, they can be positioned exactly where needed and moved effortlessly as site demands change, then collected as a complete unit when full.

What materials does it compact?
Our compactor range boasts a variety of models to suit different requirements. While our static options handle high volumes of dry mixed commercial and industrial material, our portable compactors bring the flexibility to move between sites, with the added capability to manage wet and messy waste streams too. Wheelie bin compactors offer an efficient, space-saving solution for managing your business's general waste, cardboard, and plastics at source. Then there are our specialised units, designed for single-material compaction for companies looking to streamline recycling and boost recovery rates.

Bringing benefits in abundance
01
Strengthen site hygiene
Fully sealed construction prevents leaks and spillages, stops foul odours from escaping, and deters pests, helping you maintain cleaner, safer, and more hygienic waste handling areas.
02
Reclaim precious floorspace
A portable waste compactor delivers high-capacity performance without permanent installation, preventing materials from piling up and reclaiming valuable floorspace on site.
03
Reduce collection costs
Compressing your business’ waste into fewer, fuller loads significantly reduces collection frequency – and therefore disposal costs – delivering measurable bottom-line savings.
04
Improve site efficiency
A portable compactor machine is quick to deploy, simple to operate, easy to maintain, and effortless to manoeuvre, keeping waste management efficient as your site evolves.
05
Simplify waste handling
Managing wet and dry waste through one highly flexible solution reduces operational complexity, making day-to-day waste handling faster, easier, and more consistent.
06
Support environmental goals
Fewer waste collections result in lower haulage emissions and less material sent to landfill, helping you make measurable progress towards your sustainability targets.

Meet the RWM SC2500
If you’re looking for a more permanent compression setup – say, if you generate high volumes of dry waste from a single location and don't require the flexibility of a portable compactor – it’s worth exploring our static models. The RWM SC2500 is our mid-range option, renowned for its high-capacity performance and operational versatility. Built for commercial and industrial environments, it makes light work of cardboard, plastic, general waste, and mixed dry recyclables, helping organisations reduce material volumes, lower collection frequencies, and cut operational costs while complying with strict health and safety standards.
