Here at our recently relocated Harrogate-based HQ, we’re extremely pleased to announce another exciting change – we have a new director on board.
Barry Scanlon has been promoted to the position following a successful period of employment as Riverside’s service manager.
With an impressive 23-year career in the Armed Forces under his belt, Barry joined the team in March 2016, where he immediately took on the responsibilities of proactively scheduling routine machine inspections and servicing, coordinating maintenance enquiries, organising operator training, processing orders of waste baler consumables and dealing with any ad-hoc repair queries made.
But his commitment and effort to Riverside has not gone unnoticed, hence the reason for this advancement to his new post.
Commenting on the news, Barry said: “My intention from the outset was to be an outstanding service manager, with the aim of assisting Riverside in retaining clients, continuing to build relationships with both new and existing customers, and maintaining the strong reputation of the brand.
“Along the way, I have been trusted implicitly in carrying out the main functions of my role, and allowed to suggest and make efficient changes to both internal and external systems, for the good of the business. I am delighted that Jonathan has seen my motivation, discipline and loyalty to Riverside as strengths which he believes make me a key part of his company, and I’m excited for the future!”
MD Jonathan Oldfield added: “This decision was a no-brainer for me as we prepare for the further growth of Riverside. I value Barry’s input and how he has carved a role for himself here – his work ethic and reliability are second-to-none, and I can’t imagine the office without him.”
